The MetalShopSys is a powerful, real-time multi-user manufacturing operations tracking and scheduling system designed specifically for the sheet metal processing environment.

Graphical intuitive as well as user-friendly interface, similar to paper work, make the MetalShopSys very easy to learn and use. It uses Microsoft Access as a platform. Since the program data is completely contained in a MS Access database, it interfaces well with other software. The program can be easily customized to fit your specific business requirements.

The MetalShopSys is expandable, flexible and provides the perfect low cost solutions for small to mid size engineering and manufacturing companies.

MS Access is perfect for growing businesses that do not want to spend thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars for programs that are not flexible, and are not truly geared to their operations.

Using Microsoft Access and Visual Basic for Applications as a front-end database system means that you have full control and flexibility. The MetalShopSys program integrates easily with other software. Create new forms and reports, as you need them. Expand your operations system anyway you choose.

MetalShopSys consists of these components:

    • Easy and precise cost estimating
    • Storage of quotations in a database for a quick reference
    • Automatic faxing of an estimate to a customer
  2. Order Process:
    • Order entry and quick search
    • Elaboration of technological processes needed to complete an order
    • Printing of a multi-level Bill of Material
    • Printing of a barcode router
    • Printing of a material requirements report sorted by order delivery dates
    • Job scheduling and tracking
    • Tracking of material ordering and receiving
    • Ease of copying of technological processes for repeat orders
  3. Billing:
    • Invoice entry and printing
    • Billing and balance control
    • Checks log
    • Credits and debits entering
    • Sale charts for each customer
  4. Customers:
    • Ease of keeping crucial billing, contact and shipping information
  5. Vendors:
    • Suppliers contact information

Minimum system requirements

Office module:

  • Pentium III or higher
  • Display with 1280x1024 or higher resolution
  • Windows 98 or later
  • Run-time Ms Access 97 or later (royalty-free)

Floor Data Collection module:

  • Pentium-class system
  • Display with 800x600 or higher resolution
  • Windows 95 or later
  • Run-time Ms Access 97 or later (royalty-free)

Back-End Database:

  • Microsoft Access database File Sharing
    - or
  • MSDE or SQL Server Desktop Edition (royalty-free) or Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 or later (increases the number of concurrent users)
    ODBC driver is used to link Front-End to Back-End SQL database.

Network:

  • peer-to-peer Network
    - or
  • Windows NT 4.0 Server or later (increases the number of concurrent users)

Each Workstation can run different Microsoft Windows operation system and different Front-End Ms Access database (Access 97, Access 2000, Access 2002, Access 2003).
